Canary Islands Cemetery Clean-Up

Volunteers are encouraged to help out cleaning the historic Canary Islands Cemetery located in Floresville, Texas. While named Canary Islands Cemetery, the cemetery has no affiliation with the nearby Canary Islands Descendants Association of San Antonio.

The historic cemetery began in 1882 with burials continuing into the mid-20th century.

Those wishing to help out should wear long pants, boots, gloves and bring your personal lawn equipment (rakes, pruning shears, saws for limbs, etc).

The event is posted on the Canary Islands Cemetery Association Facebook page.

The cemetery is mistakenly identified, but its location accurately depicted, on Google Maps as “Lodi Cemetery”.
